Forgiving The Betrayer

So as I shared with you yesterday about the molestation in my childhood and also how the CREATOR healed, restored and redeemed me. I would also like to share with you that before I had the healing process; I had to take another important step, and that was to make the choice to forgive the one who betrayed me and who took away my innocence. Many will say well that's not easy to do, and trust me I agree.

However, that step is one of the most important steps because if you don't then true healing can not come. Here is another example: I had another betrayer in my life who would actually betray me to my core. It was my mother. She lied to me about who my biological father was for 42 years. Some would say just get over it, but it couldn't be done that way. I had to make another choice to forgive her which I did, and even though all ties are severed with her I still forgive her.

So my encouragement for you today is: no matter how you may have been betrayed in life whether it be by a lie, a physical abuser, or even a sexual abuser; you can take the step to forgive. That forgiveness is for your freedom, and it also allows the CREATOR to bring healing, and most of all restoration to your soul. You can forgive and you can be free.

Molested To Made Whole

I know that this title might be a bit much for some, because that is a word that is not talked about much. I just felt in my heart that this was to be today's encouragement. So please bare with me. Having walked that journey as a young kid even today I can still remember the exact details. I can still remember the brokenness that I felt, and even the emotion of feeling dirty and violated. That was over 30 years ago.

However, today I think more about the special moment on March 14, 2017. That was the day when the CREATOR went into that area of my soul and healed me, HE restored me, and redeemed me. It's a moment that I will never forget. If you or anyone you know has walked through that same brokenness please be encouraged that the CREATOR will heal, redeem and restore you or them too.

So my encouragement for you today is: no matter how dark that season of your journey may have been know that the great healer is wanting to bring you into wholeness just as HE did with me. Please also know you are not alone, because the CREATOR is right there with you and I am praying for you.

Will You Tell Your Story

Having the courage and strength to stand up not only for yourself, but also for others is a risk. Many battle with the fear that they will be ridiculed and maybe not even heard. For some the battle is also not being believed. So they keep it buried. That is actually the worst thing to do in life.

How can the CREATOR heal you in your inner most parts of your soul if you keep those fears hidden? I did that very thing about an issue that happened to me while I was a teenager. A particular person in my life exposed himself to me and it completely shattered me at the time. I buried it and went on with life. It took me about 20 years to actually verbalize it just to the CREATOR; even though HE already knew it.

So my encouragement for you today is: even though we may all have hurts, fears and wounds inside; if you can find the courage to share it with the CREATOR and allow HIM to heal you; HE will give you the strength to tell your story with others to encourage them.
