HIS ARMS ARE OPEN

Matthew 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy burdened, and I will give you rest.

One of the greatest images to imagine is a little child running towards their parent, and the parent is standing there with their arms wide open to embrace the child. That image is the image I daily live with when I sit and think about my Heavenly Father. Yesterday I listened to a song by Cody Carnes called "Run to the Father". It caused me to reflect back to the time when I lost my dad. It also caused me to think about the season of my life when I lost myself.

Through all of the steps that we all take in life; the best image to hold onto especially when we go through trials; is that we have a Heavenly Father standing there with HIS arms wide open waiting for us as HIS children to run to HIM for everything we need. I have lost a lot on my journey, but I have gained more than I have ever lost because I daily run to my daddy.

So my encouragement for you today is: if you are running from situations in life; allow yourself to run to the CREATOR, because HE will embrace you with HIS unconditional love, fill your soul with everything you need, and your soul will be at rest.

HE'S IN EVERY STEP

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage: do not be afraid, nor be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

As we all take our own steps throughout life; we will all have to choose whether we will walk in the direction of fear, or the direction of strength. In the journeys that I have had to walk through in the last seven years I could have chosen fear, and anger because its very easy to walk that path. At moments I did walk in those emotions, but I also drew strength from the CREATOR and I was able to stand back up again.

Not every step will be easy, but every step can be taken. Building your daily relationship with the CREATOR will help you in each step, and each step that you take you will draw strength too. You can stand tall again. So my encouragement for you today is: no matter what path is set before you; daily look to the CREATOR for your strength, choose courage, and you will see that at the end of that path just how tall you are really standing; because the CREATOR is with you in every one of those steps. Now and forever.

LAUGH YOUR WAY THROUGH IT

Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones.

I thought that this title is so fitting for today's encouragement. Last week we had a lot of rain that came through in a three day span, and it flooded my yard so much that it looked like I had my own lake. Well I got really mad about it because I had done so much landscaping to the yard so that it would be pretty. It took about three days for the water to completely go away.

Well yesterday we had another set of heavy rain storms come through, and the yard is worse than last week. All of my landscaping is completely destroyed, and floating away. I fell going down the steps trying to take my dog outside to use the bathroom, and as I watched all of this rising water; all I can do is start laughing. I have always been very concerned about deep water around me, and that is why I don't swim in deep water; especially if I can't touch with my feet.

This time I am not mad, but actually at peace because I know that the CREATOR is right here with us. So my encouragement for you today is: no matter what storm in life comes your way; if you can allow yourself to be at peace, and laugh; then you have overcome another challenge in your life journey. So just remember that with the CREATOR you are always strong enough to laugh your way though it.
