YOUR IMAGE OR HIS IMAGE

Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

I would like for you to really ponder on this title. It is a major question that we should all ask ourselves every day. Are we focused on how our image looks in front of others or are we focused on how our image reflects the CREATOR? Now I would like to share something very heartbreaking with you. I know of an elderly woman who made choices in her life to uphold her image instead of the image of the CREATOR, and her choices almost destroyed even her own children. Her life choices were of selfish ambition, but the choices of her children were very different.

Many times in this life journey we will all face choices on whether we will uplift one another or be selfish towards one another. In those times we need to stop and think about how it will reflect the CREATOR. So my encouragement for you today is: whatever life choice you are faced with; think of the CREATOR first, think about how it will affect those around you, and think about how you will look at your own self through it. Lets be more like the CREATOR; its always the best choice to make.

WILL YOU FORGIVE

Luke 6:37 Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Most of society today spends their time focusing on everyone around them. In that focus; there is also a lot of criticizing. Many will also be judgmental. So I would like to share with you my perception on judgment and forgiveness. Judgment is making the final decision on where someone will spend eternity. No one other than yourself and the CREATOR can make that decision. Forgiveness is not for someone else to be free, but it is for yourself so that you can live in freedom, and not be bound to the one whom you forgive.

So now I would like to share with you an example of that. When I learned that my dad was biologically not my dad at the age of forty-two; I made a choice to forgive my mother. On the last day I spoke with her (because she has nothing to do with me anymore) my words were: I will not judge you or condemn you. I choose to not hold this offense against you, and I choose to forgive you. That day was the day when I stepped into total freedom.

So my encouragement for you today is: focus on your journey with the CREATOR, don't inwardly or outwardly judge someone, and please do not condemn someone for the journey of life they are walking, and forgive daily so that you live daily in freedom!

PATIENCE

Hebrews 10:36 For you have need of patience, so that after you have done the will of God; you may receive the promise.

Throughout our life journey the word patience will be a challenge for most of us. It has definitely been a huge challenge for me. One of the biggest lessons I have learned was that you should never pray and ask the CREATOR to give you patience. I did for many years and then the CREATOR answered that prayer. It would be the most challenging time of life. The first season of patience was learning how to endure the not knowing of how things would work out for our family in a financial way, but the CREATOR provided till that season was over, and HE is still providing.

The second season of patience was learning how to have self control with my words in my identity journey. These seasons were not easy at all, but learning the heart of the CREATOR through both of those times taught me that if I can be still, and allow HIM to do all that HE needs to do; then its my soul man that reaps the peaceful life.

So my encouragement for you today is: always stay close to the CREATOR in every season of your journey, and no matter what may come in your direction; be still, and patient through the process because your life will be rewarded in so many different ways.
