JUST IMAGINE

Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask, or imagine according to His power that is at work within us.

With all of the chaos in the world going on right now; can you imagine what it would be like for all of that to come to an end. Can you imagine what the earth would be like if everyone treated each other with kindness and respect. With all of the hatred that gets fueled on a daily basis; its no wonder why we lack peace in the earth. If we could focus on the CREATOR before we allow ourselves to speak; I'm sure we would have more self control. Yes we all fall short of that because I daily have to put myself in check with my heart too.

If we could allow ourselves to be loving and gentle each day; I do believe that our world would be a much better place, and then we would all be amazed with what the CREATOR could really do in all of our lives. So my encouragement for you today is: if you can just please show more kindness and goodness to those around you; imagine what a difference it would make not only to their life, but to everyone they know because goodness will continue to reach others.

WHAT'S IMPORTANT TO YOU

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast.

This is a question that I would ask of you to ask yourself on a daily basis. I know that this may sound strange, but its a very important question. Many years ago I watched my husband work so much and yes he chased money. It was very important to him since he grew up with nothing as a child. As we walked through a financial journey five years ago and lost everything but our home; it was through that journey that the CREATOR taught him that he was not the provider but that the CREATOR is. My husband learned that money was a necessity but it was not to be more important than the CREATOR.

Today my husband has a very different outlook on life. There are people that need money, or even just recognition from other people to feel validated. Those things in life will never make you whole on the inside. It is the affirmation and validation that comes from the CREATOR because of HIS unconditional love for you, and HIS grace that makes your life full.

So my encouragement for you today is: no matter how hard you try to obtain the validation from others; it will only be the CREATOR'S validation that will mean the most and will be the most important truth in your life. So if you can look at what's really important in life; you will find that it's the CREATOR.

JUST BE STILL

Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

As I was sitting outside yesterday morning on the front porch swing I began to see all of the morning birds. Then a beautiful hummingbird flew right in front of me. After a few seconds it turned and went to its feeder. Before I could turn around after hearing another sound; I saw a couple of doves sitting next to each other in a tree. Then I saw an owl flying threw the trees. As I watched all of these animals I began to think about this verse. As I sat still just to enjoy my coffee, and HIS peace; this thought came to mind. Do we really know the CREATOR? Yes we know of HIM, but do we intimately know HIM?

Daily spending time with the CREATOR and learning who HE is will always be the greatest reward to our soul. I completely understand that life is busy for everyone, but if we can all just slow down for a minute; we would all be in amazement of HIM. So my encouragement for you today is: don't let life get so busy that you miss the goodness of HIS heart. Take time to just be still and know HIM in every way possible. HIS love is just simply sweet.
